The Uplift class of heavy battleships operate primarily on the element of surprise. At 535 meters overall length, an Uplift class ship is nonetheless able to maneuver at speeds normally reserved for significantly lighter vessels. This is due in part to improved materials technology and drive systems, and moreover due to the deployment of only ace rated crew on such vessels. In addition to standard Progress Level 7 weapons systems (fire-linked forward heavy particle beams, point defense guns and turret mounted mass reaction missiles) the Uplift class boosts a single forward facing singularity cannon. The entirety runs on an inertial flux engine and mounts a full cloaking screen.
