A small personal computer with direct communication capabilities with the T-net and authorized networked devices. Serving as a telecommunications device, a unique personal identification, a remote access tool and fulfilling many other basic functions, the ID is possibly the most ubiquitous manifestation of technology most individuals will find. Most have an augmented reality interface, allowing the user to view the interface while others watching could not. To reproduce this effect without augmentation, a tactile 'single view angle' interface screen can be substituted. A very small number of very expensive units also provide voice command and voice feedback. Improper use of an ID ranges from interference with proper use of resources to grand tampering. Penalties scale according to the severity of the infraction.
