Private, abbreviated Pvt. is a rank within the Tinris Wildspace Marine Corps is the entry level rank for all recruits not entering as officer candidates and is listed as pay grade E-1.
Etymology[]
The term derives from the pre-Collapse term "private soldiers" to denote soldiers who were either hired or conscripted into service by a ranking officer of either the Tinris Waterborne Fleet or in later times an officer of the Tinris World Navy.
Responsibilities[]
As the lowest enlisted rank of the TWMC, Privates are responsible for the bulk of enlisted work and are forbidden by law from holding any form of security clearance.
